Albums are a lot of work. I don’t know about other photographers but I sweat it out when it comes to designing an album. I try to find just the right images that will work together all while making sure the images the client wanted in the album are all in there as well.
I also like a clean, simple layout. No more than three images per page, nothing crazy. I really want the images to speak for themselves.
Below is a good example. As always is is a compromise between what the client wanted and what I was aiming for artistically.
